Austill Lewis, P.C., was established in 1991 as Woodall & Maddox, P.C., by Michael B. Maddox and Thomas A.
Woodall. William A. Austill became a shareholder in the firm in January 1995 and a name change followed Mr. Woodall’s
appointment to the Jefferson County Circuit Court in February 1996. On February 1, 1999, Richard W. Lewis joined the
firm as a shareholder. Conley W. Knott became a shareholder on January 1, 2001. William E. Pipkin, Jr. and Terry
A. Moore then became shareholders on June 14, 2004. Joseph E. B. Stewart became a shareholder on June 29, 2004,
followed by Isaac Roitman on January 1, 2007. In February 2007, Terry A. Moore was sworn in on the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. On January 1, 2008 the Birmingham and Mobile Branches of the firm merged and became Austill, Lewis & Pipkin, P.C.
The firm's main office is located at : 600 Century Park South, Suite 100, in Birmingham, Alabama, and the Firm opened its
South Alabama office in Mobile on June 14, 2004. The firm offers statewide representation to its clients and actively
practices in all Alabama State and Federal Courts.
The firm is listed in Best's Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys and is given an AV rating
in the latest edition of Martindale-Hubbell.
